Most Popular Tea Bags Contain ILLEGAL Amounts Of Deadly Pesticides (avoid these brands at all costs)

Pesticides are everywhere around us – they are in our soil, in public places, school playgrounds and even on the food we eat. And, although we try everything to avoid them from washing our produce before eating to buying organic fruit and vegetables, toxins always find a way into our homes and lives. Recently, it has been found that some of the most popular tea brands such as Lipton, Tetley and Twinings contain high levels of dangerous pesticides which can cause serious diseases.

According to CBC News, major tea companies such as Lipton, Twinings, Uncle Lee’s Legends of China, Signal, King Cole, Red Rose and others are under investigation due to the high level of pesticides in their products. The team of scientists that conducted the research discovered that more than half of the teas had pesticide residues far above the limit, and 8 out of 10 teas contained different chemicals, while one brand contained 22 different types of pesticides!

The pesticides in the tea included endosulfan and monocrotophos, which are currently in the process of being banned in many countries due to their negative health effects.
Best and worst brands

Although most tea brands (except for one) contained pesticides, some were over while others were under the allowed limit. Here’s a list of the teas you should avoid:

No Name

These teas contained over 10 different types of pesticides.

Uncle Lee’s Legends of China (Green Tea)

This brand of tea is the worst on the list – it contained over 20 pesticides including endosulfan. Side-effects of endosufan include tremors, and the pesticide can even be fatal!
King Cole

Although this brand of tea is not laden with pesticides as the other brands, it was found to contain a wider variety of pesticides which can cause involuntary defecation and irregular heartbeat. There are even reported cases of people falling into coma after ingesting the pesticides this tea contained.

The tea industry isn’t quiet on the matter – the vice president of Uncle Lee’s Legends of China said that all teas contain pesticides. “If you drink tea, regular tea, I don’t care what brand is that, the fact of life, this agricultural product does have pesticides,” James O’Young said.

However, Mr. O’Young disregarded the fact that only one of the tea brands on the list (Red Rose) was pesticide-free, which proves that tea without pesticide residue can be cultivated. You should support the pesticide-free companies by avoiding the heavy-pesticide brands – only this kind of support can lead to less toxic teas.
