Do you have a line or crease in the earlobes? THIS IS A WARNING SIGN
But did you ever think that fold in the ear lobe is able to warn you at risk of heart disease?
Heart disease:
It is responsible for 1 out of every 4 deaths in the United States. Every year about 735,000 Americans suffer from heart attacks, 610,000 of these people die.
It is the leading cause of death for both sexes, but more than half of reported deaths in 2009, relating to heart disease, were men.
According to some recent studies, our earlobes may actually indicate if you are at risk for heart disease. Normal healthy ear shells are smooth. Earlobe with a lobe seems to have a diagonal earlobe cut in half. This may seem like a slight crease, lines or wrinkles.
How such a line on the ear indicates heart disease?
An increase in your ear lobe occurs when the elastic tissue surrounding small blood vessels (which carry blood to the earlobe) deteriorates. This is the same change that occurs with the blood vessels around the heart of coronary artery disease.
This study is very new and very theoretical. Scientists are not 100% sure how they are connected, but cannot deny the connection. But there are always other factors to consider as well as other diseases.
What should I do if I have a furrow?
Do not panic. It is not a death sign.
It is best to check with your doctor.
