You've Been Making Mac And Cheese Wrong! When You See This Recipe, You'll Be Drooling!
I have a confession to make... I'm a mac and cheese fanatic! Whether it's homemade or from a box, I can't pass on an opportunity to indulge in a warm, creamy bowl of this classic comfort food. While a lot of us probably opt for the boxed version of this delectable treat (myself included), you don't have to be a whiz in the kitchen to create your own homemade mac and cheese! There are actually some super easy, one-pot recipes floating around out there that deliver the same tasty results with little effort and mess.
Here is one of the easiest slow cooker versions of mac and cheese I have ever seen! If you are a fan of setting and forgetting, you're going to love this recipe.
What You Need
- Slow cooker
- 500g uncooked elbow macaroni
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 250g cream cheese, cut into cubes
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 375mL can evaporated milk
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
The Process
- There aren't very many steps to this recipe. Simply add everything to your slow cooker, starting with the elbow macaroni and shredded cheese!
- Follow with the cream cheese, milk, evaporated milk, and salt and pepper.
- Stir it all together and put the lid on your slow cooker.
- Set it to low and cook for two and a half hours.
- After two hours have passed, remove the lid from the slow cooker and give the mac and cheese a stir. If it seems too thick for your liking, feel free to add a bit more milk to the mix.
- Once your mac and cheese is done cooking, grab a bowl and load it with this delicious, creamy homemade masterpiece!
