Unusual behavior
Someone who is normally shy and withdrawn, can come to the store and want to kiss or hug a complete stranger. In this case, the best thing you can do is take that person to see a doctor.
Problems with speech
Primary progressive aphasia is a form of dementia that causes problems in speech and articulation of words. Patients can talk incomprehensible, they have trouble assembling words or use the wrong words.
Problems with writing
Patients have trouble writing, they don’t say the whole words but only the syllables. The patients also have trouble with the physical act of writing.
Problems with reading
The patients have trouble completing a whole sentence in the text and cannot keep track of the words.
