Many people believe that memory loss is a clear sign of Alzheimer’s disease. However, this new study, says that this is not always case. There are various indications of the occurrence of degenerative diseases. The study was conducted by researchers at Northwestern University for Cognitive Neurology and The Center for Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Emily Rogalski says the symptoms depend on which part of your brain is affected by the disease. She also added that these are the four risk behaviors that may indicate that the development of Alzheimer’s:

Unusual behavior

Someone who is normally shy and withdrawn, can come to the store and want to kiss or hug a complete stranger. In this case, the best thing you can do is take that person to see a doctor.

Problems with speech

Primary progressive aphasia is a form of dementia that causes problems in speech and articulation of words. Patients can talk incomprehensible, they have trouble assembling words or use the wrong words.

Problems with writing

Patients have trouble writing, they don’t say the whole words but only the syllables. The patients also have trouble with the physical act of writing.

Problems with reading

The patients have trouble completing a whole sentence in the text and cannot keep track of the words.
