She Ignored This Small Dot On Her Leg, But When She Finally Goes For An X-Ray…Holy Cow!

When Heather Charlebois, a 42-year-old mother of four felt a stinging sensation in her leg, she did not think much about it. She had been sitting watching a Fourth of July fireworks celebration and felt a pain in her thigh, but it certainly did not seem like any kind of emergency. “My first thought was somebody hit me, slapped me open handed really hard on my leg and pinched me, but it did not make any sense because I didn’t see anyone.”
When she went to the restroom, however, the Florida woman noticed a small puncture wound on her quadricep area, but she just assumed she had been grazed by a stray firework. Days later, when the wound had not improved, she sought medical help. “Yesterday everyone was telling me it looked like a bullet hole so they wanted me to go to the hospital, so I did,” said Charlebois.

As it turned out, her friends were right: Charlebois had been shot in the leg with a .38 caliber bullet! Doctors surmise someone fired the weapon vertically into the air, and the bullet fell back down to earth and into the poor mother’s leg. The bullet was very close to her femoral artery, so it is lucky she sought assistance when she did.
