VERY USEFUL: Something Very Surprising Happens When You Put This In Your Hair…
In the morning when we have cleaned our teeth and rinse with mouthwash, we probably don’t realise what we are rinsing our mouths with.
Mouthwash is just a minty rinse that keeps our mouths clean and our breath fresh, right? Well no, actually that’s wrong…
The majority of people who use the minty fresh liquid, use it as a mouthwash. However, what most people don’t know is that there’s a lot more to Listerine than meets the eye.
The antiseptic wash is jam-packed with essential oils – like eucalyptol, methyl and thymol – making it so much more than a dental cleaner.
So what can it be used for? Well let’s find out, shall we?
1. Listerine can be used to get rid of foot fungus
Dead skin on your feet is the worst! It’s unsightly and not a good look for your sandals! So all you need to do is soak your feet for half an hour in Listerine, vinegar and water, and the magic mixture will remove six months worth of dead skin. This is because its ingredients have antiseptic and anti-fungal properties.
2. Listerine can be used to clean your toilet
The cleaner works wonders on your mouth, and it can work wonders on your toilet too. Use it in the same way you would use bleach and give the loo a good scrub!
3. Listerine can be used as deodorant
If it’s immediate freshness you’re after, soak a cotton ball in Listerine and rub it around your armpit to banish underarm odour. You will smell minty fresh and it leaves no marks like your typical antiperspirant.
4. Listerine can be used for bites
For many people mosquito bites are an unavoidable evil, Listerine helps to provide instant relief to alleviate the itching and swelling of bites.
5. Listerine can be used to get rid of dandruff
So this is my favourite Listerine hack, and it may sound totally insane but apparently Listerine was actually marketed as an anti-dandruff product for two decades. To rid your scalp of flakey skin: massage a mixture of 1/2 a cup of Listerine with 1/2 a cup of water into your scalp, leave it for five minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
7. Listerine can be used to kick acne to the curb
Many people swear by toothpaste when pimples start popping up, but I swear by Listerine. You can use the magic product as a ‘wash’ to clear up spots. It really works too, an isn’t half as messy as toothpaste!
8. Listerine can be used to clean your screen
If you ever run out of your glass cleaner you can use, yes you guessed it LISTERINE! Mix the mouthwash with water and spray it on your computer or TV screen to abolish fingerprints!
