I Never Knew Doing This At Night Could Help Me Sleep.Amazing!

Snuggling up under your favorite blanket is the best thing in the colder weather, but in the warmer months you fold up the heavier blankets in favor of a lighter sheet. Once the temperature rises outside, the temperature in your room rises as well. Do not be so quick to sleep in a warm room as lots of people find it very hard to sleep in such a heat. According to studies, sleeping in a cooler environment has lots of health benefits. This is an easy step to make your life be better.

You should sleep with a fan in your room during the summer, or with an air conditioning on low. Your body will thank you.
What are the benefits of sleeping in a cold room?
  • It helps you relax and sleep better – while falling asleep our internal temperature drops lightly and we feel sleep the cooler our bodies are. Your temperature will drop quickly and help you sleep faster. This will prompt the sleep under a blanket.
  • Improves mental and physical health – getting to sleep quickly and feeling secure under a blanket helps for your physical and mental health problems in children, teens and adults. If you drop the temperature in the bedroom and adding a blanket will help you with problems like anxiety, fibromyalgia, sleep apnea, and many more.
  • Managing weight – if you sleep in cooler room temperature has been shown to raise metabolism rates. The good fat or brown fat increases when your body is cold. This fat produces more heat than the rest of the body, burning off calories and excess sugar.
  • Keeps your head cool – when you snug under your blanket the coolness of the room will ensure that you stay at constant and comfortable temperature as your head is being exposed outside the blanket. Hot and stuffy room can make you feel like you cannot breathe.
  • You will get your beauty sleep – it will make you feel and look great because when you sleep deep enough the body releases optimal levels of melatonin which boosts your mood. This is also an anti-aging hormone which will boost your look.
How to keep your room cool?
  • Get the right temperature – the optimal temperature has to be between 60-67 degrees. Places under 54 degrees and above 75 are not ideal for a good night’s rest.
  • Stick your feet out – the feet are a great regulator of the temperature, thus if you feel overheated, poke your feet out and your body will cool down.
  • Watch out for memory foam – it is a synthetic material which retains the body and head shape. Even though it feels nice it can retain a lot of heat. Swap it out for a traditional pillow in the summer.
  • Sleep naked (or almost naked) – this means less layers, less insulation, and less heat. The clothing may bunch up during the night causing discomfort and interrupted sleep.
  • Use a fan – it is very nice to sleep with the windows open during the summer, using your AC putting a dumper on that. One easy solution, though, is investing into a small fan which you will keep on low during the night. The soft hum will assist you as well. a ceiling fan will do the work as well.
