Why This Photo of Breast Milk Is Going Viral And The Shocking Difference Between The Two!

Our bodies communicate in subtle ways, whether this is through bacteria or pheromones.

Breastfeeding is an incredible tool to strengthening the bond of the relationship between a mother and her child.Actually, breastfeeding keeps their bodies in synch and allows the mother to give her child everything he/she needs.
A Surprising Breastfeeding Story

A young mother from Arkansas, Mallory Smothers, posted two photos of her breast milk on Facebook. The first one, the one on the left side looks like regular milk, white and watery.

But, the second bag looks orange and more creamy. This milk represents colostrum, the antibody and milk filled with leukocyte the new mother produces in the first days after giving birth to the child.

Mallory explains that she produced these milks just hours apart. So you must be wondering why they are so different. The answer will surprise you…

On Thursday, before Smothers and her family went to sleep, she pumped the milk on the left.

At that time, her daughter had some symptoms of congestion, irritability and she sneezed as Smothers breastfed her overnight.

“When we got up Friday morning, I pumped, just as we always do. What I pumped is on the right side of the photo…this comes after nursing the baby with a cold all night long.”
So Why Did Her Milk Change?

The milk of the mother adapts to the needs of her child and it’s changes in composition according the baby’s sex.

As the baby breastfeed its saliva seeps into the mother’s nipple. This saliva contains bacteria and virus that signals the mother’s body about the health of her baby. If a mother kisses the baby’s face it also helps her body sample pathogens and to create appropriate antibodies in her milk.

Actually, infant and material infections stimulate a fast leukocyte response in the breast milk in order to boost the immune system of the child. This also happens when the mother is sick so that she prevents infecting her child. These antibodies can even help in neutralizing diseases like HIV which may be life-threatening.

Breast milk has beneficial bacteria which helps the baby’s microbiome in her/his gut, as an important part of the child’s immune system.
