The chemicals used in the production of rubber items cause cancer

Chemicals found in all rubber objects, from condoms to children’s pacifier can cause cancer. The World Health Organization, WHO, concluded that a chemical MBT, the full name of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, which is used in the production of rubber, can cause cancer.

Chemicals are everywhere, rubber gloves, condoms, play areas that have soft rubber surface, elastic bands, tires, baby pacifiers, glasses for swimming.

At a meeting in Lyon, 24 experts from 8 countries said that there is sufficient evidence that a chemical that has long been considered responsible for skin allergies, can be added to the list of chemicals that may cause cance.

The most affected are people in the industry of rubber products
