Kills 100 000 people a year: This is the most dangerous product in your home

Everyone in their own way keeps their home clean and fragrant, but there is something which we thought is there to help – and actually threatens the health of the whole family.

Recent research has confirmed that fresheners and scented candles contribute to the death of thousands of people a year. These are two things that most households have regularly used, and contribute to the internal air pollution.

Use scented candles became very ‘popular’, especially since the social network developed. An enormous amount of people love to publish their photo of a candle which contributes to the atmosphere and feeling of well-being – many with their scent like to swim or to make love but not aware of how much they actually do harm.
Research of doctors and pediatricians of the Royal University in London proved to be about 40,000 deaths per year that can be linked precisely to the interior air pollution. This figure rises to a staggering 99,000 deaths in Europe.

Internal air pollution resulting from the use of the already mentioned air fresheners and candles, and cleaners do not help in this situation.

So, why are candles and air fresheners so dangerous?

According to the survey, “governments do not test fresheners, but they do have any safety or health standard.

A survey conducted in 2007 showed that 74 brands of air fresheners have a dangerous amount of an organic compound that is harmful at room temperature.
Small children are particularly at risk because these dangerous compounds affect the development of reproductive organs and hormone levels.

Many of you think that the external air pollution is much worse – huge amounts of gases from cars and factories, how it can be compared with several chemical compounds that come from scented candles.

However, they forget one fact, which is that in an environment such gases ‘spread’ and freely, while this is not the case with internal contamination.

Our homes are incredibly well insulated and constructed so that outside air does not enter inside, but the opposite. When toxins from air fresheners and candles release into the air, they are ‘trapped’ inside the house or apartment, but over time their concentration increases.

What would be a healthy solution for homes that smell of bacon and wet dog?

Experts suggest regular ventilation.
