Let’s talk about lemons
You are probably familiar with the term lemon ( not the citrus fruit) which refers to a car that after being bought, appeares to be defective. But do you know what is the true origin of this term?
According to an urban legend, this term originates from the time when horse sellers, before selling a sick horse, would apply lemon on its ears to make it perk up when the new owner inspects it.
And know you know.
Applying ordinary lemon to the ears of those sick horses may seem as a bad thing, but be sure that any horse would rather endure that than a flaming lemon.
A flaming lemon? You may ask what is flaming lemon
I asked myself the same once I saw this video below on YouTube channel NorthSurvival. Among many strange things done with fruits, lighting a blaze with citrus is definitely a new concept.
In order to create a lemon blaze, you won’t need anything too fancy, but only some zinc and copper nails, steel wool, wire and a material that ignites.
After the construction, you will get a fascinating reaction, the wires will be able to generate electricity and once you touch them to the steel wool, you’ll have yourself a nice toasty fire in seconds.
