CDC Warns: Hair Bands From China Made Of Used Condoms Could Spread Std’s

In the stores all over Americaare being soldhair bands which have been made of reprocessed condoms in China. After the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) issued a warning that used condoms have been recycled into hair bands and sold at markets and beauty salons all over the country, the worry about public safety has been raised.
The fact that those who use this hair bands could very easily get infected with AIDS, genital warts and other STD’s.Worst of all, these hair ties can be bought everywhere:at local beauty salons, flea markets and swap meets all over the country.

This is the warning by CDC:

“The amount of bacteria and potential viruses on these hair ties and rubber bands, which are made from used unsanitary condoms, has 4 times the bacteria found on a public restroom toilet. Consumers could potentially be infected with AIDS, warts, herpes and other venereal diseases if they hold the rubber bands or hair ties in their mouths while setting their hair. We warn against consumers purchasing these products if they were made in China.”
Los Angeles citizen, Shantea Green, was surprised when at a local beauty salonshe bought a few hair ties, and find out that she had actually bought productfrom a recycled condom.

This is her testimonial: “When I heard about this I couldn’t believe it. I got the scissors and carefully cut around the edges. When I saw the used condom inside I almost gagged. I hope the word gets out so people can stop using these hair ties made from China.”

This means that next time you buy hair tiesyou have to be more careful. If you already have some hair ties manufactured in China, throw them away straightaway. These could potentiallyharm you.
