Two different cleaners
If you belong to the group of people who think that by mixing a window cleaner with some universalcleaner, they will get better results, then you couldn’t be more wrong. You should avoid doing this by all costs as every cleaner is made for a specific purpose.
Rubbing alcohol and bleach
This mixture is a big NO-NO! It’s in fat a combination of chloroform and hydrochloric acid, which is extremely dangerous. It’s best to just use bleach on its own.
Bleach with ammonia
Mixing these two ingredients creates toxic smokes, mainly chloramines, which are not only dangerous for your eyes, but are also really unsafe to breathe in.
Chlorine bleach with vinegar
When mixed with chlorine, any kind of acid, including vinegar, is a dangerous formula because this combination produces a toxic chlorine gas.
Baking soda and vinegar
Although seeming perfectly natural, and quite efficient as a house-cleaning device, you should always stay away from this cleaning formula. Baking soda or sodium bicarbonate reacts with acetic acid (found in vinegar), producing sodium acetate, water, and carbon dioxide. Vinegar also causes baking soda to bubble, so if you put them in a closed container, it can explode!
Hydrogen peroxide and vinegar
Despite the fact that some people will say it’s a perfectly safe combination and will use it as a cleaning device, you should never blend these two items, especially not in the same container as it will lead to the creation of peracetic acid, which is highly toxic and can damage your skin, eyes and respiratory system.
