WARNING:Items We Touch Every Day Which Are Dirtier Than The Toilet Seat!

Although we regularly wash our hands after we use the toilet, handle money or touch the bus handles there are still certain items around us which we touch constantly and consider them harmless, but are actually riddled with germs and bacteria. Germs are a part of life but many of us tend to avoid the usual suspects like public restrooms and handrails and you’ll be surprised to hear that the most common objects we touch every day are dirty and germy. And we’re talking about the items in your home, and even the cleanest homes can harbor germs!
You should wash your hands every time you touch the following 5 items:
Keys
We all have at least one pair of keys we use every day. You leave them on the table, on the wall, in the car, on the bench and you touch them a few times a day but you never think about washing your hands right after you handle them.
Keys are actually one of the dirtiest items in our homes so never leave them anywhere around food.
Cellphones
We are practically glued to our phones; they are always in our hands or on our ear. We only wipe them when they get sticky and greasy from our face or hands. Cellphones are bacteria magnets and can be a potential health hazard. A study conducted in Israel just last year revealed that 20 percent of hospital workers’ cell phones had some form of harmful bacteria on them.
That’s why it’s good to wipe your cellphones thoroughly with a wet tissue any time you think of it.
Light switch
Another part of our home we use constantly but we never remember to wipe it when we clean. Light switches are riddled with bacteria which get transferred to our hands when we turn on the lights. The first thing you do when it gets dark is turn on the lights. That’s when you need to remember to wipe the switch and wash your hands.
Kitchen dish cloths
Your dish cloths are always handy and are excellent for keeping your counter tops clean and tidy. But even if they look as the perfect item for cleaning your dishes and counter tops they’re actually one of the dirtiest items in your house. When you just use it once it becomes a breeding ground for germs and bacteria and they get transferred to your food and countertops.
When your towel is moist the germs and bacteria multiply even faster and it becomes a hotbed for infections.
Instead of linen cloths it’s better to use disposable paper tissues.
Doorbell
Even though you know that your personal hygiene is on a high level and you keep your home clean that doesn’t necessarily apply to your visitors as well. So while you’re trying to keep your home spotless and germ-free there are places and items which are beyond your control. Among these items is the doorbell.
Friends, relatives and strangers alike touch the doorbell before they come inside your house and wash their hands, which means that they leave all their germs and bacteria at the front door where you and your family can pick them up.
Carefully wipe your doorbell with antibacterial wipes every day.
