What to Do if You are Choking and Nobody’s There to Help You! These Skills Can Help You Save Your Life!

There is a method by which you can stop someone from choking and running out of air. The method is called “Heimlich maneuver”. It is a first aid procedure used to treat choking when we try to help a man throw away the food that is causing blockage in his throat, by shaking him.

An immediate action is necessary in order to save someone’s life. You should stand behind the victim and wrap your arms around the waist, below the ribs. Place one hand around the victim’s waist and form a fist with the thumb placed above the belly button. Place the other hand over the fist and perform several upward thrusts while simultaneously squeezing the abdomen tightly. Under the pressure, the chunk of food flies out from the throat, while the breathing normalizes.

But what to do if you are choking and nobody’s there to help you?

If you are choking, and no one else is around who is able to assist you place a fist in the epigastric area, just below your ribcage. With the palm of the other hand cover the fist and pull the diaphragm with all your strength from down to up.
Or hit yourself really hard in that part.

Don’t be afraid of a bruise, it is much worse to be left with no air.

If you don’t succeed doing this, bend over a chair on the epigastric part and push the diaphragm with all your strength from down to up.
